Creating your own event within a sailing environment proves a unique hospitality event that creates a memorable experience for guests and links these experiences back to your brand - a marketers dream! In some cases, the events have been so successful that they have become a new industry regatta and an established part of the racing season calendar.
Yacht racing is the only sport where guests are able to compete against the professionals whilst they are actually competing in the main event. Regardless of experience, guests can enjoy some 'hands on' close racing. Teamwork is not only the key to successful racing but can also be very enjoyable - the unique camaraderie offered by competitive sailing is second to none.
Typical one day itinerary
- Guests arrive in Hamble at the marina for breakfast aboard the yachts, to receive an overall event and a skipper's briefing
- Yachts depart from Port Hamble Marina for race training in the Solent.
- Yachts anchor in Osborne Bay for packed lunch aboard
- Three competitive races in the afternoon
