Location
The new Confortel Barcelona Hotel is located in the growing technology district of Barcelona, close to the Olympic port and beach and a short ride to the central tourist areas. The airport is a 30 minute journey away and the circuit is approaxomately 30 kms away. The nearest tube is Llacuna underground. It is 4 stops to the Gothic quarter (Jaume I). There are also local buses which run along the seafront road. Walking distance away are the beach, Olympic port, bars, restaurants and local shops.
Description
Ultra modern in style, the hotel has a large lobby with lounge, restaurant and internet areas. The colour scheme of white, slate and chrome is cheered up by bright splashes of red and orange. Bedrooms are a good size with contemporary design and furnishings.
The hotel restaurant is divided into a breakfast area where a buffet is served from 7-10.30 am.
There is an "early coffee" service prior to this for those travelling alone, or who prefer their own company, then there are several seats with personal TV screen and headphones! The a la carte area of the restaurant opens for lunch and dinner, serving Mediterranean cuisine.
Standard bedrooms are all exterior facing with either twin beds or queen size double and have a flat screen TV, room safes are free, the mini bar has complimentary soft drinks and there is a pizza room service meni as well as normal room service. The hotel has a bar open from 10.30am to 11.30pm. The fitness room is free to use from 7am to midnight and there is a small outdoor rooftop pool and sun terrace too.
